Flash Events to organize inaugural season of Capital Soccer League

The Delhi-based events startup planned to expand its feet in Capital Soccer League after a remarkable success in Gully Cricket League

New Delhi: Flash Event's founders Nishita Aswal and Anshul Aggarwal have announced that the league will be played in different sports complexes of the city from 28th October 2019, Monday.

The targeted renowned sports complexes are Yamuna Sports Complex, Saket Sports Complex, Major Dhyanchand Sports Complex and Jasola Sports Complex. The format of the league will be Round-Robin and Knockout. It will be played among 8 contenders; which means that each team will face each other and the best four will play the knockout stage.

How State Soccer League is different from the rest?


Though,  Indian Football team captain Sunil Chhetri is the second active international goal-scorer. Football is still not given a status that it deserved in a country like India. The Capital Soccer League aka CSL will provide the aspiring footballers, a platform to prove their potential and strengthen India's Football Culture.

There will be 8 teams majorly distinguished on the basis of areas. Thus, it would be an opportunity for people from all corners of the city to play football for their regions.

  • North East Delhi
  • West Delhi
  • East Delhi
  • South Delhi
  • Southe East Delhi
  • South West Delhi
Central Delhi is the exceptional area, whose players can play for any of the teams given above. There would be around 130 players who will participate in this league along with their 

The Capital Soccer league will start on 7th October 2019, Monday and will continue till 8th November 2019, Friday. The inaugural match will be played between East Delhi vs South Delhi on 7th October 2019.

What is the eligibility criteria for the players?

Since this league is meant for the establishment of Football Culture in the city, the players need to be young enough to sprint in the field. The range of age for the aspiring footballers are 15-26 years and they should be resident of the Delhi-NCR.

Transfer window would be open for players if there is a vacant position in a team of their choice, and the team agrees on to release the player. To avoid nuisance during the transfer period and its aftermath, the players and teams would have to sign a 1-year consensual contract.
